Karen H. Roberts

Karen H. Roberts received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  She is also a graduate of the Executive Institute formerly sponsored by the State Budget & Control Board and a certified public manager.

Ms. Roberts has over 16 years of management experience.  She began her career as a banker with Branch, Banking, and Trust Bank (BB&T) while working in the areas of customer service, mortgage lending, and branch manager.  She is a 1997 graduate from BB&T's management development program in Winston Salem, NC. In 1999, she joined the Budget & Control Board, where she worked in human resource management and ultimately became Procurement Director.    Since July of 2012, she has been the assistant deputy director of South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, where she oversees the Agency's Human Resources, Procurement, and Mailroom divisions.
